I attended an artist residency, Hvitahusid, in Iceland in the summer of 2024. During a month-long residency with my collaborator, Lucas Brown, we encountered the otherworldly natural beauty of Iceland and we were driven to capture a sense of our surroundings and the landscape through camera and sound recording. We also observed many bird species during their breeding season and witnessed the collective movement of migrants north. A sense of freedom, desire and necessity pervade in this work.
